Thank you for buying Ether One - we hope you're enjoying the game. If you've come to this page it must mean that you're having technical issues - we know it can be an immersion breaker and frustrating when things go wrong so we hope this thread can provide support for the most common issues.

Firstly, check that you have the matching system requirements. You can generally get away with lower specs than the ones listed below but the important thing is to make sure you have a good enough graphics/video card.

KNOWN ISSUES

My game crashes.
If your game screen is spiraling or going grey the most common issue for this we found is that people are using graphics cards that are not supported. It seems to be most common on integrated Intel HD graphics. We're working on trying to find a solution to this but we recommend having a dedicated PCI graphics card installed.

I'm experiencing a low frame-rate.
There are options in the menus to turn off Anti Aliasing and Motion Blur. These help speed the game up the most. You can also try turning down the texture detail.

Download the latest graphics card driver.
If the problem persists, the most common cause we've found is that people do not have the latest graphics card drivers. Please download the latest drivers from your card's manufacturer.

Rendering on some laptops.
The most common rendering issues seem to be coming from Laptops. If you feel like your laptop should be running Ether One and isn't try changing the preferred graphics from Auto-select of Integrated graphics to High-Performance NVIDIA processor. You can find this by:
- Right clicking on the desktop and going to NVidia Control Panel.
- 3D Settings - Managed 3D settings
- Under the Global Settings tab select Preferred graphics processor.


FAQ's

Where are my save game files located?
If you installed the DRM-Free version of Ether One your save game files will be located:
C: (Or the drive you installed Ether One on) / UDK / Ether One / Binaries / Win 32.

If you installed your game through Steam then your save game files will be located:
C: (Or the drive you installed Ether One on) Steam / SteamApps / common / Ether One / Binaries / Win 32.

Does Ether One have Oculus Rift Support?
